One Earth Farms came to Transcend3 with a fantastic opportunity. To create a brand strategy, name and fully brand a premium Canadian Beef company with a focus on high-end, ABF and hormone free Black Angus beef. The double meaning behind 'Black Apron' relates to both the black aprons that high quality chefs & butchers wear, and also plays on the 'Black Angus' product. From here we created a visual identity that honoured traditional butchery by using antique illustration, but also had a clean aesthetic with modern type, a simple colour palette, and a nod to those black and white striped aprons.
