A local restauranteur in Toronto who I had been working with decided to venture into the space of craft brewing. He came at it with a very different point of view. Unlike most craft breweries catering to hipsters, he wanted to create something that catered to the tech crowd 'geeks'. The idea came from the process of the brewing which was used. New technology to create a unique taste in craft brewing. The idea of appealing to the tech crowd seemed worthy, especially after working with some incredible tech talent to create it. Code brewing emerged, with a unique personality that works its way into the characters of each brew - much like a video game. It is tech-geek-cool with a slight hip hop edge. Not your typical brew, for not-your-typical crowd.
The logo has a touch of glitch art for style with neon colours that represent on-screen code.
Each type of brew had a character whose personality related to the taste profiles of each beer.  Done in pixel art of course as a retro flashback to early gaming.
Swag created interest in the brand and was promoted at sampling events.
